OMG….When was the last time we saw each other? I simply must share with you some positive research on Working from Home!

It must have been before the pandemic.

And a second baby.

And a couple of job hops….. I digress!

You will be glad to know your gal is succeeding and working for a small learning tech company and importantly working 100% remote. Living the dream!

Well I started this blog ages ago. At a time when it was supposably the right thing to do. Like an early form of rather public journaling for professionals. Well – I haven’t been here for a while and thought I would give it one more go.

One of my overwhelming themes throughout my time in work as you can see in the topics in this blog, has been the desire to to not only work from home, but to make that more accepted. The quote in the article from Danielle -millennial manager – speaks volumes – although, I am lost as to the value of highlighting which generation Danielle belongs to?

“The people who are in any type of manager or leadership role, if they have to see people, if they have to see butts in seats to think people are working, they don’t know how people work,”

I couldn’t agree more Danielle . But also, we need to consider how leadership development needs to catch up with this the post pandemic world of work.

It still feels to me like we are still riding the wake of it all, and even now there is still a lot of work to be done. Yes, WFT and Hybrid opportunities are out there, and by all accounts according to the article, the productivity of people who work in either of these states is not negatively impacted – but are they managed as well as they could be? Are there yet more benefits to be had that are just waiting for the right methodology to unlock them?? I don’t know and time will tell, but here is article – Enjoy!
